Vivergo Fuels

Shareholders

Our story from the beginning...

In 2007, AB Sugar, BP and Du Pont, set out on a joint venture to design a biofuel plant for the future. With each organisation being an expert in what they do, we were able to bring that expertise together to form Vivergo Fuels - a business therefore combining the very best bits of our shareholders.

Combining specialisms across agriculture, animal feed, fuel, energy and technology, our shareholders were well suited to the markets in which we operate.

By pulling all of this expertise together, we were able to create the UK's leading Biofuels business, Vivergo Fuels.

Today…

In 2015 ABF acquired BP’s share of Vivergo, resulting in ABF being the majority shareholder.  This acquisition will allow the company to push on and thrive in its markets.

AB Sugar truly believe in the business, and the cost competitive biofuels plant that has been established.
